Graduate Assistant in Percussion
Appointment: begins August 15, 2022-23 Academic Year
Stipend: full-tuition scholarship and a yearly stipend of $7500 for a two-year MM program.
Degrees Offered: MM in Performance (Instrumental, Jazz Studies, Composition), MM in Music Education, MM in Composition
Responsibilities may include:
· Instructor/Arranger for Marching Band Drumline
· Assistant Director of Percussion Ensemble
· Teach Applied Percussion Minors
· Assist and/or Teach Percussion Methods Class
· Assist with Percussion Maintenance and Logistics
· Assist with Entrance Auditions, Juries, Recital Hearings & Ensemble Placement Auditions
· Other duties as assigned by the School of Music
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in music from an accredited institution. Admission to Youngstown State University Graduate School and Dana School of Music Percussion Studio.

4. Select candidates will be invited to campus for an audition for admission to the Dana School of Music. The itinerary will include an audition, interview, and teaching examples such as a private lesson, group lesson, or percussion ensemble rehearsal. Bring a copy of your audition music.
